Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026 · Last updated August 31, 2026
Published by Intelliquinte L.L.C.

The short version

Vyrela is a U.S.-only, iOS encrypted business vault. We run no servers, operate no accounts, and use no analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs. Your vault stays on your device under a passphrase only you hold. We cannot see it, recover it, or hand it over.

01

Who we are

Vyrela ("Vyrela," the "App") is developed and published by Intelliquinte L.L.C., a North Carolina limited liability company ("Intelliquinte," "we," "us," or "our"). The App is offered for Apple iOS (iPhone) solely in the United States. It is intended for users located in the United States and for U.S. business use. This policy describes the iOS App; it does not describe a desktop product, and it does not describe an offering outside the United States.

02

Data we collect: none from your vault

We do not collect, receive, transmit, store on our systems, or have any access to personal information or content you enter into Vyrela. Without limitation, we do not receive:

  • Business entity information (names, types, states, identifiers such as EINs);
  • Vault records and fields, including information you mark as sensitive;
  • Calendar events and appointments you create in the App;
  • Contacts and employee or vendor information in the App's private directory;
  • Files, documents, images, and attachments you import or scan; or
  • Your passphrase or any encryption keys.

All of the above is stored only on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud (see Section 6). We have no ability to access any of it.

03

How your data is protected on your device

  • Encryption at rest. Your vault is encrypted on your device using AES in Galois/Counter Mode (AES-GCM) via Apple's CryptoKit. The encryption key is derived from a passphrase you choose, using PBKDF2 with HMAC-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations. Your passphrase and derived keys never leave your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
  • File attachments. Documents, images, and files you add are encrypted on your device before they are written to storage and remain encrypted at rest. They are decrypted only momentarily, on your device, when you preview them, and the temporary decrypted copy is removed when you finish or when the App locks.
  • Biometric unlock. If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, the unlock secret is stored in the device Keychain with protection that requires a device passcode and invalidates on biometric change. Biometric data itself is handled entirely by iOS and is never available to us.
  • Auto lock. The App locks automatically when backgrounded.
  • Wrong passphrase. If an incorrect passphrase is entered, decryption fails the GCM authentication check and your data cannot be read. We cannot recover, reset, or bypass your passphrase (see Section 9).
04

In-app features and your data

4.1 Calendar and appointments

Calendar events, appointments, and other dates you enter are stored locally in your encrypted vault. They are used only to display your calendar and to schedule local reminders on your device. They are never transmitted to us.

4.2 Optional calendar integration (EventKit)

If you choose to add an event to your device's Apple Calendar, that action uses write-only access to your calendar and only when you expressly choose it. Vyrela does not read your existing calendar events. Any event you add to Apple Calendar leaves Vyrela's encrypted vault and is thereafter governed by your own iOS and iCloud settings. This integration is optional and off by default.

4.3 Contacts and employee/vendor directory

Vyrela includes a private directory in which you may store information about other people. This information is entered and controlled solely by you and is stored only on your device in your encrypted vault. You are the sole controller of any third-party information you store. We never receive it. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store information about other people (see Section 12). Tapping a phone number or email address hands off to your device's phone or mail app using standard system links; this does not send any information to us.

4.4 Optional system contacts import

If you choose to import a contact from your device's Contacts, Vyrela uses the system contact picker so that only the specific contact you select is brought in. That information travels from your device's Contacts into Vyrela's encrypted vault on the same device. It is never sent to us. Vyrela does not request access to your entire address book.

4.5 File and document attachments

Files you import or scan are encrypted on your device and stored only on your device (and in your own iCloud backup if you enable it). They are never transmitted to us. You are responsible for having the right to store the files you add.

05

Local reminders

Reminders use Apple's local notification system on your device. We do not operate a push-notification server. Reminder content is never sent to us. Anyone who can see your Lock Screen may see notification text.

06

Backups and iCloud

  • Manual encrypted export. You may export an encrypted backup file. The file is encrypted on your device before it leaves the App. You choose where it goes and are responsible for safeguarding it and its passphrase.
  • Automatic iCloud backup (Pro). If you enable automatic backup, Vyrela writes a client-side encrypted backup to your own iCloud Drive. Vault contents are encrypted on your device before they are written to iCloud. We have no access to your iCloud and no access to the encrypted backup payload. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. Storing large attachments increases backup size and consumes your own iCloud storage.
  • Backup manifest metadata. Alongside the encrypted backup, the App may write a small plaintext manifest (for example manifest.json) that can include non-secret fields such as deviceName and modifiedAt. That metadata helps the App detect a newer remote backup. It is not your vault contents and is not encrypted with your passphrase. It resides in your iCloud account under your control; Intelliquinte does not receive it.
07

Purchases (StoreKit) and information Apple may provide

In-app purchases and entitlements (including Vyrela Pro) are handled by Apple's StoreKit / App Store. Apple processes payment under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card details. The App may check StoreKit entitlements on your device to unlock Pro features; that check is between your device and Apple's commerce systems, not a Vyrela backend (we operate none).

We do not receive information directly from your vault, but Apple, as the App Store operator, may provide us with limited information that never contains your vault contents:

  • Aggregate, anonymized sales and download reports from App Store Connect, which do not identify you personally as vault users;
  • Optional crash and performance diagnostics that you may choose to share through iOS. You can disable diagnostic sharing in iOS Settings. We use them only to fix bugs.

We do not use any third-party analytics, attribution, advertising, or tracking services.

08

No tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs

Vyrela does not track you across apps or websites, serves no advertising, and contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework is not applicable because we do not track. Our App Store privacy label is intended to reflect "Data Not Collected."

09

Unrecoverable data and assumption of risk

Because your passphrase and encryption keys never leave your device and we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data or reset your passphrase. If you forget your passphrase, lose your device without a backup, or lose your backup file or its passphrase, your data will be permanently and irreversibly lost. By using Vyrela you acknowledge and accept this risk. We strongly encourage you to keep a secure backup and to store your passphrase safely.

10

Your privacy rights

10.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information from the App, and we do not receive your vault contents. There is accordingly no vault personal information for us to access, delete, correct, or port on your behalf. You control your information directly within the App and on your device. We are neither a "business" collecting that vault data nor a service provider processing it for others in the ordinary sense of an online vault service—because we never receive it.

10.2 Outside the United States

The App is not offered outside the United States. We do not market or make Vyrela available in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions. Because vault data stays on your device under your sole control, Intelliquinte does not act as a controller or processor of your vault contents.

10.3 U.S. users

As a U.S. user, you have complete, direct control over your information in Vyrela. You can delete any record, contact, event, or attachment within the App, and you can delete all of it by removing the App and any backups you created.

11

Children

Vyrela is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not target or knowingly provide the App to anyone under 18. We do not collect information from anyone, including children.

12

Your responsibilities regarding third-party information

When you store information about other people, you are solely responsible for complying with any laws that apply to that information, including privacy, data protection, and employment laws. We do not receive or process that information and cannot act on requests concerning it.

13

Law enforcement and legal requests

Because we do not hold your vault data, we generally cannot produce vault contents in response to legal process. If we receive a request that does not involve data we hold, we will explain that we have no responsive vault content. We may retain and respond regarding business records we do hold (for example, App Store Connect aggregates or voluntary support emails you send us).

14

Security

We design Vyrela to protect your data using strong, standard cryptography on your device. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and device-level security ultimately depends on your device passcode, your passphrase strength, and your safeguarding of backups.

15

Voluntary communications

If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message (for example, your email address and description of an issue). We use that information only to respond and improve the App. Do not send vault secrets or passphrases by email.

16

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and make the current version available in the App and at this URL. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
