Kedrel

Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026 · Last updated August 31, 2026
Published by Intelliquinte L.L.C.

The short version

Kedrel is a local-first productivity app for iOS. Your tasks, habits, notes, journal, countdowns, and focus sessions stay on your device. We run no accounts, subscriptions, network backends, analytics, or ads. Optional speech recognition may use Apple's system when on-device recognition is unavailable—see Section 6 for an honest disclosure.

01

Who we are

Kedrel ("Kedrel," the "App") is developed and published by Intelliquinte L.L.C., a North Carolina limited liability company ("Intelliquinte," "we," "us," or "our"). The App is offered for Apple iOS on the App Store.

02

Data we collect: none from the App

We do not operate user accounts, subscriptions, or Intelliquinte-operated network backends for Kedrel. We do not use analytics, advertising, attribution, or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not collect, receive, or store on our systems the content you create in the App (tasks, habits, notes, journal entries, mood tags, countdowns, focus sessions, calendar views, or attachments), except if you voluntarily email us (see Section 9).

Because we do not receive your in-app content, we cannot sell it, share it with advertisers, or produce it from our servers in response to a request.

03

How your data is stored on your device

Kedrel stores data on your device using Apple's SwiftData (and related local persistence) and may use an App Group container so the main App, widgets, and Live Activities can share the same on-device store. Data categories you may create include:

  • Tasks and related fields;
  • Habits and completion history;
  • Notes;
  • Journal entries and mood tags;
  • Countdowns;
  • Focus / Pomodoro session history; and
  • Calendar-oriented views of your local data.

Standard iOS device backups (for example, encrypted iCloud or computer backups you configure) may include App data under Apple's systems. Intelliquinte does not operate a separate Kedrel cloud sync service.

04

Features that stay on your device

Core productivity features run locally. Widgets and Live Activities display information from the shared on-device store. Local notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not operate a push server for Kedrel content.

05

Permissions you may grant

Depending on which features you use, iOS may ask for optional permissions. Denying a permission disables the related feature; it does not cause us to collect data.

  • Microphone and speech recognition. Used for voice-to-text capture when you choose that feature. See Section 6 for how recognition may be processed.
  • Camera and Photos. Used when you attach images to tasks (or similar). Attachments are stored locally; we do not upload them to Intelliquinte servers.
  • Calendars (EventKit). When enabled, the App may use read-only full calendar access to show your existing calendars alongside your local data. Calendar events remain in Apple's calendar store under your control. We do not send your calendar contents to Intelliquinte.
  • Notifications. Local reminders and alerts you enable.
  • Widgets and Live Activities. System surfaces that read from the on-device App Group store.

We do not claim Face ID / Touch ID app lock as an implemented product feature in this policy. Device-level security remains under your control through iOS.

06

Speech recognition — important accuracy note

When you use voice capture, Kedrel uses Apple's Speech framework. The App sets requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true only when the speech recognizer reports that on-device recognition is supported (supportsOnDeviceRecognition). When on-device recognition is not supported for your device, locale, or configuration, Apple's speech system may process audio using Apple's speech services under Apple's terms and privacy policy.

Honest limits of this disclosure: We do not claim that audio never leaves your phone in all cases. Processing depends on Apple's capabilities on your device at the time you dictate. The App does not save your audio recordings for later playback or archive, and Intelliquinte does not receive your audio or transcripts on any Intelliquinte server (we operate none for this purpose). Transcript text that appears in the App stays in your local store like other content you type.

You can revoke microphone and speech permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

07

On-device AI helpers

Where available, the App may use Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models running on device to help with drafting or similar conveniences. When those system models are unavailable, the App may fall back to local heuristics. Nothing in this feature is sent to Kedrel or Intelliquinte servers. Use of Apple Intelligence, if any, is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy materials for those system features.

08

Export and erase

  • Export. You may export tasks as JSON via the system Share sheet. That export goes where you send it; Intelliquinte does not receive it unless you choose to email it to us.
  • Erase all. A user-controlled erase action can remove App data from the local store. Erase may not wipe every attachment file from every filesystem location in all cases; uninstalling the App and clearing related containers is the thorough way to remove residual files. You are responsible for deleting any exports or backups you created outside the App.
09

Information you may send us voluntarily

If you email kedrel.support@intelliquinte.com, we receive whatever you include (typically your email address and message). We use that only to respond and improve the App. Do not send sensitive content you are not comfortable sharing by email.

10

Information Apple may provide to us

Apple, as the App Store operator, may provide limited information that does not include your tasks or journal contents, such as:

  • Aggregate App Store Connect sales and download reports; and
  • Optional crash and performance diagnostics you choose to share through iOS (disableable in Settings).

If you obtain the App through the App Store, Apple processes any purchase under Apple's terms. There is currently no subscription and no Intelliquinte-operated billing backend for Kedrel.

11

No tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs

We use no third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. Kedrel does not profile you for advertising or track you across apps or websites. Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework is not applicable because we do not track. Our App Store privacy label is intended to reflect that Intelliquinte does not collect your App content.

12

Law enforcement and legal requests

Because we do not hold your in-app content on our systems, we generally cannot produce that content. We may retain and respond regarding business records we do hold (for example, App Store Connect aggregates or voluntary support emails).

13

Your privacy rights

13.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information from the App's local content, and we do not receive that content in the first place. There is accordingly no App content for us to access, delete, correct, or port on your behalf. You control your information directly within the App and on your device.

13.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Because Kedrel stores App content locally under your control and Intelliquinte does not operate a backend that processes that content, we act as neither controller nor processor of your tasks, notes, journal, or similar local data. Rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability against us do not attach to data we never receive. You can delete or export data yourself in the App (subject to the erase limitations in Section 8).

13.3 All users

Regardless of where you live, you control your local data. Delete items in the App, use erase/export tools, or uninstall the App and remove backups as you choose.

14

Children

Kedrel is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it from our support inbox as appropriate.

15

Security

Security for local data depends on your device passcode, iOS protections, and how you handle exports and device backups. No method of storage is perfectly secure.

16

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and make the current version available in the App and at this URL. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
